Filmed in Toronto and Hamilton, the CBC original series follows Julie (Whalen) and Kris (MacNeill), two wildly different women in the throes of menopause who are thrust together to produce a podcast for ‘The Podcast Folx’. The series follows them on an unpredictable journey of transformation as they help each other through workplace challenges and office politics, dating disasters and relationship drama, health concerns and parenting woes – and realise the only way through is together.

Whalen described Small Achievable Goals as “a joyful comedy about menopause because in this time of life we could all use a laugh. For those of us going through it, we see you. For everyone else, enjoy the ride!” while MacNeill commented; “Normally one would say that we stand behind the message, but the message is so strong, we believe it stands behind us.”

Sphere Media’s Jennifer Kawaja, Bruno Dubé and Elise Cousineau serve as Executive Producers alongside MacNeill, Whalen and Stacy Traub. 

Kawaja and Cousineau developed and produced the series for Sphere Media following the success of Peabody Award-winning three season dramedy Sort Of (CBC/Max). Kawaja commented: "Elise and I were excited to get involved in Small Achievable Goals early on; we loved the workplace setting for these characters' journey, injecting comedy into the often hidden but transformative time of many women's lives."
