Currently in production, Hair Fetish Killer (1 x 90’) goes back to November 2002 when tragically, the mutilated body of a mother was discovered in the seaside town of Bournemouth – and in her hands were two clumps of precisely trimmed hair. It was a brutal murder that would lead detectives over 1,000 miles away to Potenza in Italy. The investigation stretched out for eight years before the discovery of a second victim finally led police to the door of the killer.
Producer and director is Woodcut’s Hannah Webster, with Nick Mavroidakis, Koulla Anastasi and Anna Sadowy serving as executive producers.
Hannah Webster, Series Producer, Woodcut Media commented: “The documentary shines a light on how investigators both in the UK and Italy tirelessly hunted the killer despite numerous challenges, dedicating their lives to securing justice for the families involved. It took 18 years of a dangerous murderer walking free before he was finally locked up, never to be released again!”
