Brand new sales for The Game Series 1 (4 x one hour) include TV2 - Norway, RUV - Iceland, Disney+ – UK and Ireland, CANAL+ and its thriller channel POLAR+ - France, French Speaking Europe, Africa, Romania and Dutch speaking Benelux, Filmin – Portugal and Spain, Mystery Channel – Japan, yes – Israel, COSMOTE TV – Greece and LRT – Lithuania.
These are in addition to the previously announced sales for Series 1 to BritBox – North America, Foxtel Group – Australia, YLE – Finland, SVT – Sweden, Pickbox – CEE, Virgin Media – Ireland and Sky New Zealand.
The Game is produced in the UK by Clapperboard Studios, and stars Jason Watkins (Coma, W1A) and Robson Green (Grantchester, Wire in the Blood). The first series tells the story of police detective Huw Miller (Watkins) who is haunted by the one murder case he failed to solve – that of prolific serial killer ‘The Ripton Stalker’ who psychologically tortured multiple victims before savagely taking their lives.
Series 2 of The Game, which will premiere on UK broadcaster 5 tonight 1st September 2026, explores obsession, control and the enduring impact of trauma, as the hunter and hunted become increasingly intertwined.
