SKYJACKED

On US domestic flights you didn’t even have to show ID. The industry boomed as new routes opened monthly an airlines made a killing. Champagne flowed like water, stewardesses served with Geisha-like grace, pilots were heroes and the planes themselves were marvels of technological ingenuity.

Combining recreations on Dark Slope's state-of-the-art led volume stage with real news footage, and expert commentary, Skyjacked investigates this incredible era to reveal how and why skyjacking became such a phenomenon. Each episode examines a different hijacking from the period, telling the entire story of these daring heists from departure to landing, weaving into the drama each skyjacker's individual backstory and motivation.
