The series will air over two consecutive nights, on August 26th and 27th, 2025, at 10 pm.
White House Farm: Murder, Bloodline and Betrayal revolves around the massacre of the Bamber family in the early hours of 7th August 1985 at Tolleshunt D’Arcy, Essex. Police initially believed Sheila Caffell, a mother of twins with schizophrenia, killed her family in a murder-suicide. However, when Jeremy Bamber’s girlfriend changed her story and a silencer was found on the crime scene, suspicion turned to Jeremy, Sheila’s adoptive brother and the only survivor. Jeremy was jailed for life but insists he’s innocent.
Forty years on, questions still haunt one of the UK’s most controversial murder cases. Drawing on testimony from investigators, journalists, and an exclusive interview with Jeremy Bamber himself, the series provides a rare retrospective on a crime that continues to divide opinion.
Kratika Joshi, Producer White House Farm: Murder, Bloodline and Betrayal, said: "We are delighted to be continuing our successful production partnership with Channel 4 on another compelling piece of true crime television. We focused on speaking with those who witnessed these crimes unfold first-hand, from investigators to journalists. This is a deep retrospective on a dark
chapter in Essex history”
