Working alongside Global Content Director, Will Stapley, Niki will provide a wealth of industry experience, strong relationships and a deep understanding of the evolving global content landscape to her new position at Sphere Abacus, as the company continues to grow its premium and multi-genre catalogue.
Niki, whose most recent role was Commercial SVP for AI specialist production company Deep Fusion, is a highly experienced media executive with nearly 30 years’ experience across the UK and international media industry. She has previously held senior roles at Sky, Fremantle, Channel 4, and Red Arrow (now Seven.One).
Niki has extensive expertise across content distribution, rights acquisition, commercial strategy and deal-making, with a strong track record working with producers – acquiring distribution rights and brokering first-look and development deals. Primarily focused on unscripted content, she has worked across a range of successful titles including Jamie Oliver, Don’t Tell the Bride, Chateau DIY, The Wine Show and the podcast Virtually Parkinson, as well as scripted hits including Shameless and The Inbetweeners. Niki has worked as a consultant to independent production companies, helping them develop commercial strategies, build partnerships and maximise the international potential of their content.
