SEASON 1 EPISODIC SYNOPSES:
Episode 1: Keep Swinging
Vinnie begins his journey to create a peaceful retreat in Sussex following the loss of his wife, Tanya. Tensions arise with builder Paul "Wobbly" Worby over a concrete pour, and PA Emma struggles to organize a banquet for hedgehogs.
Episode 2: Spiralling
A chaotic start to Vinnie's build projects spirals out of control when a fire in the yard threatens the whole farm. PA Emma is forced to intervene, and Vinnie seeks solace in his safe place—the Sussex countryside. Football legend Paul 'Gazza' Gascoigne makes a visit.
Episode 3: Meet The Neighbours
Vinnie's dream stumbles as tensions rise with locals and inspectors threaten the build. The team embarks on an ambitious sheep racing charity event. Can Emma battle weather, tractors, and a belligerent Vinnie with just five days to pull it off?
Episode 4: Paying For It
Vinnie's LA agent visits, lobbying for a return to Hollywood by autumn, but Wobbly is way behind with the build. An ambitious Land Rover restoration leads to further spiraling costs, and a simple office move for Emma turns into a farce of musical chairs.
Episode 5: Sober Times
The build picks up pace, but Wobbly goes on holiday, leaving his boss to carry the can. Then Vinnie becomes distracted by badgers, and a hedgehog creates a tricky dilemma. A homemade cordial goes horribly wrong. Emma and Vinnie open up about their sobriety.
Episode 6: I'm Done!
Wobbly returns for a surprising and emotional race to finish the courtyard. Little does he know that Vinnie has a new mega project for him. Bats and snakes come to stay. Vinnie and Emma take time out together.
SEASON 2 EPISODIC SYNOPSES:
Season 2 sees Vinnie stretch himself both financially and emotionally as life in the country moves at pace having just bought a new farm. Familiar characters like builder Wobbly and Pip the dog are back, along with a host of new and old friends.
Episode 1: Moving Forwards
Vinnie Jones is determined to finish jobs at his farm, but that is not all he is tackling; as a new relationship blossoms with Blondie, there are compromises to be made; mishaps and banter are inevitable as builder Wobbly gets caught in the middle.
Episode 2: Love Thy Neighbour
Vinnie plans an ambitious build ahead of his grandkid's visit which pushes Wobbly to his limits. On a mission to encourage Kingfishers to nest, he decides to make a stand against dog walkers, and seeks solace in a fishing trip with Paul Whitehouse.
Episode 3: Live for the Moment
With his grandkids visiting, Vinnie rolls out a raft of countryside pursuits to pass his passion for wildlife on to the next generation. Making headway at the farm, the exciting discovery of barn owl chicks at the lake house adds delays to his plans.
Episode 4: Everyone Needs a Happy Place
Vinnie's toilet build is behind schedule and with so many other farm jobs, they are proving tough to finish. Wobbly deals with a family tragedy, and Emma tries to re-house the barn owl she saved.
Episode 5: Pay It Forward
Work on the farm dries up and Vinnie's Lakehouse project is still on hold, and Vinnie begins to spiral as the boredom kicks in. A visit from his mentor Dave Bassett, the creator of the notorious Wimbledon 'Crazy Gang' inspires Vinnie.
Episode 6: Patience is a Virtue!
Vinnie keeps himself busy, but his extreme hole digging causes tension with the locals; planning permissions dragging forces Vinnie to look deeper into himself and celebrate the crazy gang at his farm that have helped him get so far.
