TOP GUNS: ON THE FRONT LINE

As tensions rise in the Middle East, RAF fighter pilots witness the opening salvos between Iran & Israel, before being called into action to defend British lives against deadly drone attacks as the conflict spreads.

In Europe, the RAF are also on high alert to counter the growing threat from Russia. RAF Typhoons are scrambled to intercept Russian jets threatening NATO airspace, while state-of-the-art surveillance aircraft are tasked with hunting Russian subs and monitoring troop movements.

This series also takes us to the RAF's fighter training school to meet the pilots preparing to join frontline squadrons; to the Arctic Circle where RAF Regiment troops are learning to fight in sub-zero temperatures; and in the Nevada desert we join Typhoon pilots as they fight in the world's biggest aerial war game against America's elite.
