Series creator and star Jasmeet Raina and Nelu Handa will take on showrunning duties for the Crave original, with Raina also directing four episodes. Canadian filmmaker Fawzia Mirza will direct the other four. We’ve also got a first look at Season 3.
The show follows Jasmeet Dutta, a turban-wearing millennial struggling to find his place in life while balancing Eastern roots with Western ideals. It’s based on the life of Raina, previously known as YouTuber JusReign.
Per the synopsis, “Season 3 finds him overcoming a heartbreak to reach new heights in his celebrityhood and finally reaping the fruits of his labour – kind of. With new, exciting career milestones, cracks forming in his friendships, and an unwelcome addition to the family dynamics, Jasmeet grapples with his personal growth and the pressures of his career.”
Late Bloomer has been among Crave’s top performing original series, and featured as a Global Breakout earlier this year. Season 3 was announced as part of Crave’s 2025/26 season slate.
“I never could have imagined when I first started developing Late Bloomer that we would get to where we are now – it feels wild to be making a third season,” Raina said in a statement issued to Deadline. “I feel like we’ve delivered two amazing seasons, and we’ve always strived to elevate each one – so there are some big swings going into season three.
“We have always wanted to present a version of Punjabi and internet culture that is real, nuanced, and funny, even while diving into difficult and often unspoken experiences and themes that are relevant and universal to many communities.”
“Smart, fresh, and full of youthful energy, Late Bloomer authentically captures honest and relatable experiences,” added Justin Stockman, Vice President, Content Development & Programming at Crave owner Bell Media. “We’re excited to watch the third season come to life and discover what Jasmeet and our production partners at Blink 49 have created for audiences.”
Ethriel Productions and Blink49 Studios make the show in association with Bell, whose sales company, Sphere Abacus, sells it internationally.
