Surviving the London Nail Bombings is the definitive eyewitness account of the deadliest far-right attack on British soil after three London communities were targeted with lethal nail bombs over three successive weeks in April 1999. The film which will premiere later this year is the next acquisition in the multiple true crime deal with Prime Video UK & Ireland, brokered by Will Stapley, Global Content Director at Sphere Abacus.
Surviving the London Nail Bombings is a 90’ documentary about the three far-right terrorist attacks that devastated London, told primarily through the memories of those who were there. Using interviews, archive news reports, CCTV and extraordinary images captured by a photographer who happened to be nearby. The film ultimately reframes the attacks not simply as a story of far-right hatred, but as the story of ordinary Londoners whose lives were violently interrupted — and their determination to continue living them.
Will Stapley comments, “This feature documentary delivers intimate accounts from many of the innocent people whose lives were affected by the vicious attacks that shocked London more than 25 years ago. It candidly shows viewers that acts of terror don’t simply end when the bombs have detonated, but have continuing and life changing consequences for many years afterwards.”
Siân Price, Executive Producer – Yeti comments “The courage and resilience of those who survived these terrible attacks is both inspiring and humbling. This documentary packs a real emotional punch but carries an uplifting message that ultimately there is more that unites than divides us.”
