THE GAME

The Game tells the story of Huw Miller, a police detective still haunted by the one case that he failed to solve – a stalker who taunted his town, mercilessly toying with his victims before eventually killing them.

SEASON 2

One year after surviving a brutal attack, former detective Huw is determined to leave the past behind. Living in isolation with his wife Alice on a remote stretch of coastline, he hopes to rebuild a life free from the influence of imprisoned serial killer Patrick Harbottle. But Patrick's reach extends far beyond his prison cell.

When a historic disappearance is linked to Patrick, Huw is reluctantly drawn back into an investigation that quickly becomes personal. As Patrick orchestrates a campaign of psychological manipulation from behind bars, long-buried secrets emerge and relationships begin to fracture. The closer Huw gets to the truth, the more he finds himself questioning his own judgement, motives and moral boundaries.

Set against stark coastal landscapes, bleak prison environments and vast moorland terrain, The Game Series 2 is a tense psychological thriller exploring obsession, control and the enduring impact of trauma. As hunter and hunted become increasingly intertwined, Huw must confront the possibility that defeating Patrick may come at a devastating personal cost.

SEASON 1

The cat and mouse thriller tells the story of Huw Miller (Jason Watkins, Coma, W1A), a police detective still haunted by the one case that he failed to solve – a stalker who taunted his town, mercilessly toying with his victims before eventually killing them. As Huw attempts to settle into retirement, the case is never far from his mind - and when new neighbour, Patrick Harbottle (Robson Green, Grantchester, Wire in the Blood) moves in and utters the chilling phrase ‘catch you later’ – the sign off the stalker used to taunt Huw during the investigation – Huw is determined he’s finally got his man.

What follows is a high stakes game of psychological chess between the two neighbours as Huw’s world begins to crumble around him. Unable to bear the guilt of the stalker taking another victim under his nose, Huw risks everything to unearth the truth. But has he set his sights on the right man, or is his obsession pushing him ever closer to the brink?
