Set in late ‘90s Winnipeg, Don't Even follows Indigenous best friends Violet and Harley as they navigate the uncertain summer after high school. After a humiliating moment at grad, Violet is ready to take on the world—or at least make the most of her last summer before university. Harley, meanwhile, is stuck, dodging a big decision about her future. As they bask in their newfound freedom, and face adult life choices, cracks begin to show in their lifelong bond. It’s awkward. It’s dramatic. It’s friggin’ Winnipeg.
Don't Even is a fresh, funny, and heartfelt look at what it means to grow up—and grow apart. Celebrating Indigenous youth, identity, and friendship, the series blends laugh-out-loud moments with emotional depth and undeniable nostalgia.
Created by Amber-Sekowan Daniels, directed by Zoe Hopkins, the series features an ensemble cast including Leenah Robinson (1923), Victoria Gwendoline (Burden of Truth), Joel Oulette (Trickster), Gail Maurice, and Jennifer Podemski (Little Bird).
